Welcome to Night City Devlog #4 – Flashmaps
Hey there, choombas! R. Talsorian Games is currently attending the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Expo, so we’re keeping this week’s preview of Night City 2045 short and sweet. I’m J Gray, line manager for Cyberpunk RED and we’ll be sharing weekly blog posts until release. Let’s go!
Last week, we teased a bit of info about what you’ll find in the Night City Facts chapter of the book. Following Facts is Flashmaps – maps of Night City tuned to a specific collection of location types. There are four Flashmaps in the book:
- NCART and Rail Lines
- Bars, Brothels, Casinos & Clubs
- Housing
- Medical & Markets
For this preview, we’ll break down numbers to give you an idea of how packed with information the Flashmaps are and, at the end, we’ll share one with you.
NCART and Rail Lines: 11 Red Line stations, 8 Green Line stations, 9 Blue Line stations, 7 Orange line stations, 13 Executive Monorail stations, and 6 cargo line stops.
Bars, Brothels, Casinos & Clubs: 56 bars and clubs (38 of which have signature drinks) and 12 casinos/brothels (2 of which have signature drinks).
Housing: 11 cube hotel locations, 13 cargo container locations, 19 conapt/apartment locations, 5 housing (actual houses) community locations, 12 mixed houses type locations, 13 corporate/military housing locations.
Medical & Markets: 40 medical locations (including drug stores & fashionware artists), 31 markets (including bodegas and day markets, excluding retail speciality shops).
