You may be praising the sun, but you can still read From the Screamsheets, our weekly look at R. Talsorian Games news from around the NET!
This week, we’ve got a new The Witcher TRPG product announcement, an interview where Mike Pondsmith talks about his dark days at TSR, our weekly trivia contest, and more!
Let’s get to it!
Welcome James Hutt and the Witcher Book of Tales!
New Talsorian developer, James Hutt, introduced himself in our Friday developer’s log. In the process, he also introduced The Witcher Book of Tales, our upcoming collection of adventures for The Witcher TRPG! He’s developing (and we’re playtesting) the adventures now and things are looking pretty sweet!
A Classic from the Future Available Now!
The original Night City sourcebook came with a lovingly painted, fold out map of Central Night City, and its a classic piece of gaming history. So much so, in fact, that we often get asked if our reprints of Night City come with the map! The reprint doesn’t, unfortunately, but we’re happy to announce you can now download the map!
If you own a PDF copy of Night City via DriveThruRPG, you’ll find both a 150dpi and 600dpi JPG of the map already in your library there. If you don’t own said PDF, you can pick up those versions of the map as a Pay What You Want product from DriveThruRPG. Both come with a text file giving permission for the owner of the file to print and copy the map for personal use.
Mike Talks About Dead Stuff
Mike Pondsmith, our fearless founder, was recently on the Dead Games Society podcast. During the interview he talked about Cyberpunk (both past and future), Castle Falkenstein, his work for TSR and West End Games and a variety of other topics! Its a great interview, so pop over to check it out!
Live Out Your Cyberpunk Dreams!
We cannot emphasize how amazingly cool the upcoming Cyberpunk 2020 LARP with Jackalope Studios is going to be! Tickets are still available so we really recommend attending if you can. If you’re on the fence or not sure what a LARP is, consider listening to this Darker Days podcast episode where Matthew Webb goes over the basics of how it will work and what makes this LARP different from others.
Treats for your Eyes
We’ve got two great videos to show off this week. First, Young Dungeon Master offers some amazing advice for GMs looking to run Cyberpunk 2020 for the first time.
Second, The Gaming Gang shows off the pretty which is Castle Falkenstein and Comme il Faut on their Daily Dope show.
Ultimate Witcher Sheet Now More Ultimate
Amazing Witcher TRPG friend Jason Rand has updated his already incredible The Witcher TRPG character sheet. It is now form-fillable! Check it, and the subreddit Jason runs, out if you’re a Witcher fan!
The Trivia Contest!
And, finally, our weekly trivia contest!
At the end of each From the Screamsheets, we ask a trivia question and invite people to send in their answers. From the correct answers received, we randomly pick one winner to receive one currently published R. Talsorian Games PDF of their choice. Last week’s question:
In Cyberpunk 2020, Johnny Silverhand is famously a former member of the Samurai, a chromatic rock band but they split after only a few albums. What was the title of Johnny’s first solo album?
Answer: SINS of Your Brothers
This week’s winner is Michael Morton, who will be receiving a PDF copy of Cyberpunk 2020!
Onto this week’s question!
What was the name of the Cyberpunk 2020/Paranoia crossover module?
If you think you know the answer, fill out the form below! We’ll pick one winner at random from all the correct answers and send them their PDF of choice. Please remember, only PDFs currently for sale can be chosen as a prize.
That’s it for this week’s From the Screamsheets! If you want to hang out with fellow R. Talsorian Rexes, check out our Discord server! In the meantime, keep your swords sharp, your steam boilers well stocked, and stay safe on the streets!
