Whether you want to learn how to play a game via example or you just love watching/listening to others play, Actual Plays are a fantastic way to enjoy an RPG even when you can’t be sitting at the table yourself.
One per month, we spotlight new and ongoing Actual Plays featuring games from RTG! We’re a bit late this time around, as we’re looking at April, but it’s a busy time of year for the company so please do forgive us.
At the end of the spotlight, we’ll also be giving out the Shiny Talsorian Rex Award! The campaign that receives the Shiny Talsorian Rex Award has made us laugh, cry, or display other unseemly emotions in a public way and done so over multiple sessions.
If you’re involved in an Actual Play of one of our games, please let us know by using the contact form here on the site. We don’t promise to spotlight every Actual Play but we’ll give each one an honest listen/watch.
And if you’re looking for a master list of Actual Plays featuring RTG games, you can find it here.
Let’s move onto the Actual Plays, shall we?
Rocket Adrift continue their exploration of Cyberpunk 2020 in Dark Future Dice. DP and Barb work with their new friend SleazyChan to insert a special package into a rented unit as part of a master plan. And somehow, they didn’t break down into nothing but giggles during the game despite the number of times those words were used.
LaughLoveLindy and the cool kids from Aces High have dealt with malls and prom, but now they have to worry about… detention! And roleplaying games! This Teenagers from Outerspace ongoing campaign remains one of the best sources of laughter on the internet.
Four strangers receive a passkey with an address and the Omega symbol. Where will it lead them? Find out in this new campaign. This new campaign from Wochiimen shows heart and promise. If you’d like to skip past the introduction material about the world of Cyberpunk 2020, the game play starts at 16:00.
And we have not one but two new Castle Falkenstein campaigns!
WanderingDM has gathered together a tremendous group of gamers to explore high society in Spanish New Europa. Come for the game. Stay for Host Kris Giere’s amazing hat game.
Hintplays, following the lead of Host Druttercup, have also taken up the challenge of gaming in a Victorian world of fact, fiction, and fantasy. Their Checkov Observations campaign is now several episodes in and well worth watching!
Oneshots Worth Watching!
The Grains of Truth Campaign took a side trip for a one shot with new characters entitled Wedd an Woed. Four amazing gamers. Three elves and the Scoia’tael. Tension and drama will be high. Plus, the GM’s voice. It tingles.
The Shiny Talsorian Rex Award
We’ve said from the beginning, just because the game is named The Witcher Tabletop Roleplaying Game, it doesn’t mean you actually need a witcher in the party to enjoy it. No campaign proved that to be true more than this one about two criminals who came into town looking for an easy score and ended up tangled into a web of love, lust, and deceit on the edge of a warfront. The April Shiny Talsorian Rex goes to…
