Doug Cockle to Play Geralt in Witcher TRPG Charity Event

R. Talsorian Games, in conjunction with Twitch streamer WanderingDM, will be hosting an Actual Play charity game of the Witcher Tabletop Roleplaying Game. Entitled Birth of Hares, the one shot RPG session will see famed voice actor Doug Cockle ( return to his most famous role, Geralt of Rivia, the titular Witcher from the award-winning video game series created by CD Proket Red. Money raised during the livestream of the game will benefit Special Effect, a UK-based charity focused on making the fun and magic of gaming fully available to players with physical disabilities.


Joining Mr. Cockle will be Simon Goudreault, aka WanderingDM, an experienced Twitch streamer and professional Gamemaster as well as Kelli Butler, aka TheOperaGeek (, a professional opera singer who just completed a critically acclaimed run as the title character, Hanna Glawari, in Franz Lehár’s The Merry Widow with the Saint Petersburg Opera Company. The Gamemaster for the adventure will be Witcher Tabletop Roleplaying Game lead designer and author, Cody Pondsmith.

The Witcher TRPG: Birth of Hares will take place on the WanderingDM Twitch channel ( on Sunday, November 17, 2019 and will run from Noon to 4pm EST (9am to 1pm PST). Spectators will be able to watch the Cody guide Mr. Cockle, Ms. Butler, and Mr. Goudreault through an adventure live as they play Geralt of Rivia, Triss Merigold, and Zoltan Chivay after the events of The Witcher III. Anyone who wishes can donate via Twitch as the game is played. One hundred percent of all donations, minus processing fees collected by Twitch, will go to Special Effect.
