Playing Witcher with Doug Cockle and Matt Mercer!
Sunday, November 17, 2019, Cody Pondsmith (aka the lead designer of the Witcher Tabletop Roleplaying Game) sat down and played a session of his creation with professional GM Simon Goudreault, professional opera singer Kelli Butler, Critical Role’s Matthew Mercer, and the voice of Geralt himself (reprising his signature role!), Doug Cockle!
The game was played on WanderingDM’s Twitch channel. We won’t post spoilers here, but will say the game included a number of musical moments, some things said in the voice of Geralt of Rivia no one expected to ever hear, some truly memorable hats, and a lot of rabbits.
The game was played to raise money for SpecialEffect, a UK-based charity which helps people with physical disabilities play video games and helps create ways to use games as a form of therapy. Thanks to the generous support of the over 1,000 people who came to view the game, we raised over £4,000 (over $5,000 US)! Thank you to everyone who joined us and to everyone who donated!
If you’d like to see the game, you can watch it on WanderingDM’s YouTube channel! We promise it is one of the most unique and enjoyable Witcher experiences to be had!
