Listen Up!!!! to a Cyberpunk Classic

Last Word Audio, the ENnie award winning specialists in geek lit audio books, and R. Talsorian Games, creators and publishers of the Cyberpunk RED and Cyberpunk 2020 are excited to bring the classic and unexpurgated Cyberpunk guide to gamemastering, Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads!!!! to the ears of gamers everywhere.

First published in 1994, Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads!!!! provides gamemasters of Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk RED advice on a number of topics, including crafting long-term campaigns, game style and atmosphere, cyberpunk sociology, running interesting and dynamic combat, and more!

Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads!!!! is read by Colby Elliott, who says, “I have shelves of Cyberpunk books, even dating back to the original setting. Mike inspired me to gamemaster with Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads!!!! when I found the task daunting. This is a passion project for me.”

R. Talsorian Games CEO, Cyberpunk creator, and Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads!!!! co-author Mike Pondsmith had this to say about the project: “People ask me to record audio of our books all the time, but I’m more of a public speaker than an audio book reader. As soon as we heard Colby’s samples, we knew he was the right person for the job.”

Already available in print and PDF, Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads!!!! will reach audiences in audio format via Audible and iTunes beginning on Monday, July 5, 2021. An audio sample of the book, from the chapter Cyberpunk Campaigns: Street or Skyscraper, can be heard below.

  1. That’s a really interesting idea. As life and work gets busier I’ve been getting more fiction reading in by moving to audio books, but getting more frequent exposure to good GMing advice by listening rather than reading sounds like a great plan.
