From the Screamsheets, 2/17/19

You may be getting ready for TotalCon but you can still read, From the Screamsheets, our weekly look at R. Talsorian Games news from around the NET!

This week’s edition will be a bit short because we’re getting ready to attend TotalCon in Marbourough, MA, where Mike and Cody will be running games of Cyberpunk 2020 and The Witcher TRPG! Because we’ll be at the convention over next weekend, there won’t be a From the Screamsheets on 2/24/19. Look for us to return on 3/3!

Punning Around

Twitter can be a strange and unusual place and this week was no exception as four different roleplaying game companies engaged in some good old fashioned game-title related punning!

We’ll admit we started it with the following Tweet…

But it kept going as first Onyx Path responded…

And eventually Green Ronin came to the party…

And finally, Catalyst joined in…

It was a delightful moment of levity during a busy and intense week and we thank our fellow RPG companies for making it possible.

Witcher Easy Mode

The big news from R. Talsorian Games this week was the announcement of Easy Mode, quick start rules and an adventure for The Witcher Tabletop Roleplaying Game which will be released as part of Free RPG Day on June 15th! Easy Mode will be released as a freebie in participating physical stores as well as online at DriveThruRPG.

We want to thank both Geek Native and IGN for boosting the signal on this one. We want everyone to have a chance to try out The Witcher TRPG for themselves!

Cyberpunk LARP Interview

If you want to know more about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2020 Night City LARP being produced by Jackalope Studios check out this interview LARPBook did with Jackalope stalwart Steve Metze! Its packed with information about how the LARP will be run and the tone and style they’re going for!

The Trivia Contest!

And, finally, our weekly trivia contest!

At the end of each From the Screamsheets, we ask a trivia question and invite people to send in their answers. From the correct answers received, we randomly pick one winner to receive one currently published R. Talsorian Games PDF of their choice. Last week’s question:

The Witcher TRPG introduced two new characters to the Continent’s cannon as devices to explain the game. One of them was Rodolf Kazmer, a dwarven merchant. Which kingdom was he born and raised in?

Answer: Rodolf Kazmer was born and raised in the Kingdom of Temeria. He even served time in the Temerian Lilies as an arbalist!

This week’s winner is Logan Grannis. Logan will be receiving a PDF copy of Hardwired.

And onto this week’s question!

Teenagers from Outerspace is a roleplaying game of wacky hijinx and anime tropes! One of the characters introduced in the game is Princess Karma, who comes to Earth seeking a consort. Our question this week: What does Princess Karma say she is the supreme ruler of?

If you think you know the answer, fill out the form below! We’ll pick one winner at random from all the correct answers and send them their PDF of choice. Please remember, only PDFs currently for sale can be chosen as a prize. Also keep in mind, we won’t be announcing the winner for two weeks, since next week From the Screamsheets is taking a con break!

That’s it for this week! We’ll hopefully see some of you at TotalCon! Everyone else, please keep your swords sharp, your giant robots polished, your school lockers empty, and stay safe on the streets!
