From the Screamsheets for 3/2020
Hello, friends!
It is the first Friday of the month, so we’re going to kick off March with From the Screamsheets, where we’ll be covering a lot of Talsorian topics! This month, we’ve got a recap of news about Cyberpunk Red, the last days of a great Bundle of Holding Deal, and video from our recent charity game! Let’s get to it!
We’ve revealed quite a bit about the Cyberpunk Red core rulebook over the last few weeks! Here’s a recap.
Release Window
We’re aiming for a June release, though that’s an aim and not a promise. We’ll update you as we know more.
Critical Injuries and Lethality
James Hutt, the Mayor of Balance Town and a designer on Cyberpunk Red revealed more information about how lethality and Critical Injuries will work in the game.
Character Generation
Dicebreaker published an article about character generation in Cyberpunk Red. It includes details on the three ways to create characters as well as some more information on Special Abilities and Lifepath.
Cover Image
And finally, we did a big cover reveal! Below you’ll find the cover as well as the full image, uncropped for the cover. This isn’t the final version, however! The piece is still being tweaked by the artist, Anselm Zielonka.
Monster Fight Club Miniatures
Our partners over at Monster Fight Club have begun previewing sculpts for their Cyberpunk Red line of miniatures. MFC has told us the miniatures will be 33mm. No word on pricing or availability, though some will be shown off at Mike Pondsmith’s celebrity Cyberpunk Red game at GaryCon on March 26th. Spectator seats are still available!
In the meantime, take a look at these beauties! Can you guess which was custom made for Matthew Lillard?
As of today (3/6) there’s still three days left in the Castle Falkenstein Bundle of Holding! The base level includes the core rulebook and three supplements for $11.95. The bonus level adds on six more books for less than $26 total!
The bonus level includes three books originally published by Fat Goblin Games: Curious Creatures, Firearms and Margarine, and Variations on the Great Game. Those books are now published by R. Talsorian Games and are fully part of the Falkenstein canon.
Last month, R. Talsorian Games co-sponsored a charity livestream of the Witcher Tabletop Roleplaying Game with WanderingDM. WanderingDM acted as GM and the players were professional opera singer and anime voice actor Kelli Butler, disability in gaming advocate Sara, Dicebreaker’s Johnny Chiodini, B. Dave Walters from LA By Night, and Doug Cockle, the English voice actor for Geralt in the Witcher video game series from CD Projekt Red.
We raised £2,500 ($3,200 US) for Special Effect, a UK based charity who helps people with specific physical needs play video games and also helps promote the use of games in therapy. The game was a continuation of our previous charity livestream, Birth of Hares, and we’re proud to have been a part of it.
If you would like to watch the game, it is now up on YouTube!
That’s it, everyone! Expect new content on our blog every Friday and we’ll see everyone next month for another From the Screamsheets.
Until then, keep your swords sharp, your monocles clean, and stay safe on the streets.
